when the reset conditions are met, the corresponding alert is automatically cleared out. If the alerts are remaining active for weeks and in what sounds like months, it is more than likely that the alerts are being triggered for normal operating levels. I would say you probably need to look at your trigger thresholds and adjust them to be more suitable for your environment.
